through the eyes of a 17 month old:
through the eyes of a 17 month old:
1. Spacial Awareness via the classic game of peek-a-boo.
Plus the patience it takes to let the marbles roll all the way,
and the self control it takes not to snatch them before the reach the bottom.
3. Geology via the front yard landscape. The start of every good walk begins with a rock,
and ends with a couple of fists full of them!
5. Sound via the cultural festival in downtown Olympia.A bit of eye-hand coordination and social interaction, too.
Note: below is a video.
A few months out dated, but rest assured,
Peyton is still obsessed with Roomba.
6. Technology via Roomba

He can name and point to many parts of the body - not always gently.
I'll spare you the countless l o n g video clips we have as proof and just share an example: "i-e" as in, "Ouch, don't poke Mommy's giant, painful zit because it's an 'owie.'" Response: "i-e." Followed by another quick and painful zit poking, a few giggles, and repetition of example above, several times, for several days. Get the picture?
