Summer Fun - 22 Months!

Our trip to Ireland came and went quickly (post and photos to come shortly) and we are glad to be back home with our little dude. Peyton was a trooper the week we were gone, but with all the activity, heat and time away from us, he also was exhausted and ready to be back home with his mommy and daddy. He has never really been one to ask to be held, but he spent a lot of time last week asking, and cuddling, and keeping mommy and daddy in sight.

Thankfully, I don't really have anything too remarkable to report about our week away (aside from the trip itself). Peyton enjoyed half his week with Grandma and Grandpa Parr and the final half of his week with Nana, Papa Russell, Cousin T.T., Uncle Luke and Auntie Cheri. July 6th came and went during our absence, which means Peyton is now 22 months! The biggest thing to report in his baby book, besides his rapidly increasing vocabulary, is that we left him for 10 days.

Home now for just over a week, I think we're all finally starting to feel rested and back in sync with one another. Here's a few of my favorite summertime pictures so far:

A pre-nap cuddle with bear, baby lamb and friends.

Enjoying watermelon in the evening.

Tasting his first frozen fruit bar.
Peyton agreed that it is a delicious treat on a hot summer day.
