Easter 2012

Landing on the tail end of our spring vacation, Easter was upon us before we knew it (even though we were well prepared and practicing for the big day weeks in advance).  Steve and I returned from vacation with terrible head colds (which our children surprisingly never got) and painfully exhausted (think sleep deprived x10).  However, Easter Bunny does not wait, even if you wish he would.  That sneaky rabbit tiptoes into your house and hides all your eggs in the trickiest of places whether you are ready, or not.

 So, the day before, we made up for lost time.  Dye eggs?  Check.  Practice hiding and finding eggs one last time, or 10? Check.  Make Easter cutout cookies that were promised weeks ago and never made due to lack of time? Check.  Set out baskets for Easter Bunny? Check.  Prepare bunny snack?  Check.  Somehow we managed to get all that done, along with at least a dozen loads of laundry (we did laundry every day on vacation so how is it possible to come home with more dirty laundry than ever?!) and a bit of food prep for the big afternoon Easter gathering and Grandma at Grandpa's, as well.

Sunny skies and awesome kiddos made our transition home smooth and our Easter festivities joyful and memorable.  What a wonderful Easter Celebration we had!
