Tonsils and Adenoids

Allie had her tonsils and adenoids out last Tuesday.  It hasn't been all t.v. and ice cream around here...but almost.  We've tried to lay low these past couple of weeks to give her a chance to rest and recover.  She's has been a tough and resilient kiddo.

Just what the doctor ordered:

Rest.

Show.

Ice cream and popsicles.
Big Brother enjoyed the tonsillectomy diet, too!

Allison's tonsil surgery is still fresh on her mind.  Most of her stuffed friends and babies have now had their tonsils out too.  She will proudly tell you, "They took away my tonsils.  See."  Or, quiz you, "Where did my tonsils go?" Then she will gladly open up her mouth wide and encourage you to take a look (this is a much more pleasant experience now, than it was last week, and even a few days ago)! Thankfully, she seems to be back (almost) to her energetic and spunky 3-year-old self.  

Now comes the really hard part, undoing the bad habits that became the norm for the past 2 weeks!
