While We Were Away...

While we were away last week our blueberry bushes were soaking up the rain (early in the week) and lots of hot sun (late in the week). For weeks we've been waiting with anticipation, even sampling a few green berries because it's just too irresistible not to, for our bushes to ripen. Lucky for us our wait is over.

Sleepy and dreary after our vacation and long drive home Saturday, we were able to step out of our sliding door on Sunday morning, into our yard, and pick fresh blueberries for our breakfast.

Vacation is great, but these are special times!

And berry picking is serious business.
