Snow Fun!

What a treat it was to discover that while we slept last night, a thin blanket of snow fell and covered our yard! Peyton was glued to the window from the moment he woke up and loved watching the snow flurries as they drifted to the ground. Getting him outside however, took a bit of coercing. Once outside in the snow Peyton's motivation took over and there was no stopping this snow bunny from his play time (not even really cold fingers)! We were both pleased that (unlike our earlier winter snow experiences) this snow was wet and perfect for making a snow man, or two. Evidently when Peyton insists he wants to keep "helping" he really means "watching" me make snowmen. The snowplowing job was all his work though.

Snow flurries have teased us off an on all day. Just as a few flakes start to transform the landscape the sun keeps peeking out, melting it all away, and making everything sparkle. Cool weather and snow flurries are predicted for at least another day. While we aren't counting on breaking any records here, I do know of at least two people who wouldn't mind another go at snow fun!
