Hidden Beach Fail

We woke up to calm and clear skies our first morning in Kauai.  Unfortunately, by mid morning the weather had changed and it was cool, very wet and and windy where we were staying in the north end of the island of Kauai, near Princeville.  Eager to find a beach and hopeful that it was a passing storm, we ventured a short distance from our condo to enjoy a leisurely hike down to Hidden Beach.  The pouring rain had turned the path into one, long, muddy water way.  Peyton was a trooper, but the hike was anything but leisurely, the warm rain and passing storm we promised him were cold and lingering. By the time we actually got down to the water we discovered the tide was in too far to locate the beach and it was too windy to stick around.  So, in our minds, Hidden Beach remains hidden and our first outing to the beach was a total fail.  The hike, however, was an adventure to remember.
