Shipwreck Beach/Hilton Property, Poipu Bay

With rain, wind and cool weather still in the forecast for the north shore of the island, we ventured south to find the sun on Monday morning.  Our neighbors and friends were also vacationing on the island and were staying near Poipu Bay, so we met up with them for a some beach time and lunch.  This beach was wonderful for sand play, but the kids found the ocean and water entry to be a bit overwhelming; fun to watch, but intimidating.  It was much warmer on the south side and we enjoyed a pleasant hour or so on the beach before the rain caught up to us.  This time, it was warm rain that found us and it did move along quickly enough.  We waited it out in the Hilton canals and hot tub (I'm sure they were fine with this).  As soon as the wind swept the clouds away and the sun broke through the clouds again, we were ready to call it a day.
