Family Fun Dance at Capital High School
In place of a Father/Daughter formal dance, which Steve and Allison enjoyed last year, this year Capital High School sponsored a Family Fun Sock Hop Dance for all families. Allie was excited from the beginning, but it took a bit of persuading to get Peyton to agree to go to the Sock Hop dance with us. Once he made up his mind to commit to going in character, Peyton was all in, all smiles and all fun for the evening. We listened to 1950's music in the car, took the kids to Big Tom's for dinner, and danced the night away at the Sock Hop Dance. While it would still be fun to have separate parent/kid outings (great idea for later this winter/spring!), the Sock Hop dance really was fun for the whole family.
