The gorgeous fall weather was beckoning us outdoors, but we needed a low-key kind of outing last weekend. Taking advantage of a warm, dry day, I wanted to venture to the pumpkin patch. However, in recent years, while tons of fun, it has also become quite the outing, filled with crowds and amusements, much like the fair, which no one was in the mood for. Bravely, we set out to try a new farm experience at the Rutledge Corn Maze and we were pleasantly surprised. We spent over an hour in the corn maze, not because we were lost, but because we were determined to solve the Clue Puzzle. Hidden within the corn maze were several stations that revealed several suspects, crime scenes and weapons that we had to keep track of on our quest to uncover the true crime suspect and scene. Fortunately, it was not too crowded and we were able to get a quite a bit of walking in, while focused on our challenge. In the end we solved the Clue Puzzle and felt victorious! We also grabbed our pumpkins from the field, which was far less challenging, but no less exciting. All in all, it was a great way to get outdoors, get moving and enjoy some of the best parts of fall.
Happy Fall!
