Play Date

Amy (a dear high school friend) and Lyla (26 months) invited Peyton and I up to Issaquah for lunch and a play date yesterday. It had been forever (summer?) since we last saw them, so a visit was long overdue. Since Peyton was born, they had always driven down to Olympia to see us. It was our turn, and we eagerly accepted the invitation and made the short trek up north to their house. It had also been far too long since Peyton had a friend to play with. He loves to play with other kids his age and unfortunately, our recent holiday and travel plans haven't afforded him this opportunity. We had a wonderful time and Lyla was very gracious to share all her "big girl" things with Peyton, who adored her and watched her every move.
