Grandparents' Paradise

Steve and I managed to get away on two different occasions last weekend.

Once to enjoy an incredibly gorgeous day skiing at Crystal Mountain, leaving Peyton to play at the beach with Grandma and Grandpa (my parents).

Braving the fierce winds to sort rocks and shells.
I think he even got his first glimpse of a real, live crab!

And once to spend a day in Seattle, leaving Peyton to play on the farm at Nana and Papa's (Steve's parents).

The tired, but joyful trio at the end of a busy day on the farm.
Dudes and dirt. They go together like pie and ice cream.
Keeping a close eye on the "neigh" (aka horses).
Peyton's opinion of the horses, I think:
"Good from far, but far from good."

Who's luckier in this arrangement? The parents for the ability to leave the little boy in such great hands and take this special gift of time (alone)? Or, the grandparents who get to dote on this little boy and are given this special gift of time (together with the next generation)? Or, the little boy who is so loved and is being given this special gift of time (with his grandparents)?
