Mid-week parties can be tricky. It's tough to fit much of a celebration in between arriving home from work and an early bedtime. Still, we made the most of it for Steve's birthday this year. Steve even said it was one of his best birthday's ever! That was thanks, in part, to Emma for making a delicious dinner, my mom and Peyton for making a delectable chocolate cake and to the whole gang for making the gathering a ton of fun.
The Entertainment: While waiting patiently for Daddy to get home, Peyton and the grandparents engaged in some silly song and games. I think this was verse 8 of "If you're happy and you know it..." The song kept getting sillier by the verse!
