We spent this past weekend with the Barnes family. While it was our 4th Annual weekend adventure with them, it was our 3rd time at their family beach cabin. Even though we've talked of trying our skills (and gear) camping again, I hope we continue to receive invitations to enjoy a bit of R & R at Tulare Beach for years to come. It is a wonderful place to be with friends and family.
With the addition of Allison this year, we also added our paddle boards to the guest list. The beach is perfect for the sport and everyone (babies were the only exception) took a turn! Calm waters and overcast skies (with some sun breaks) were an added bonus. Being able to let the kids play outside and better yet, down on the beach while we watched from the bulkhead above felt like a dream. Seeing the kids enjoy each others company and get along so well together was almost unbelievable. Getting away for the weekend was so incredibly necessary. Good food, friends and fun made a memory to last forever!
