Summer Bloom

It must be summer.  My yard is in full bloom.  Sometimes if feels like a lot of work.  Even on cool, cloudy days, these plants demand water, the grass seems to have an endless growth spurt, and the weeds refuse to take a vacation.  Still, when I have a moment to pause and look up, this is what my eyes feast on:  dainty blooms, vibrant and subtle hues alike, not to mention the berries; plumper by night, sun kissed by day - we'll be feasting on them in no time!  Our yard beckons us outside in all kinds of weather, but especially this time of year.  It's a breath of fresh air, a change of pace, fun for all ages.  Simple.  Beautiful.  For this, we are thankful.
