We enjoyed a nice birthday celebration for Papa this evening and then we all readied ourselves with costumes (3 generations of us!) to go out and trick-or-treat. The full Halloween experience is pretty new to our little family. This is the first year that Peyton has shown any interest in dressing up and it was also the first year that he has gone trick-or-treating. So, it was quite a treat to share this experience with all his "experienced" cousins. As we headed out, Peyton followed a bit timidly behind the group and asked, "When do we get the candy?" I quickly briefed him on what to expect and trick-or-treater etiquette. One house in and he had the routine down. We had a great time!
