Halloween at the 'Hood

Last Saturday, we set out in the pouring rain to attend the neighborhood Halloween party.  Sadly, the parade around the loop was canceled due to the downpour, but we had a nice time celebrating with the neighbors this year.  Peyton's highlight was decorating the pumpkin cookie, although it was tough to tell if was enjoying himself at all, due to his quiet and very serious behavior and eagerness to return home in under an hour.  Once home, neither kid would stop talking and raved about the event.  I guess they were both quietly observing and silently enjoying themselves.

Floppy Ears (as Peyton named her) jumping through a hoop!

On Sunday, we completed our family craft, the fire truck!  It was fun to work together with Peyton and he was quite the diligent little worker.  He was proud of the final product, and rightfully so.

One happy fireman with a finished fire truck!
Even the fire dog loves this truck!
