Peyton and Chester

Yesterday, Peyton and I went to visit Great Aunt Mollie and Chester, the cat. We discovered that babies and cats are quite similar in many ways. Both enjoy being "petted" and are roughly the same size, they are each easily distracted, playful on their own terms, temperamental in so many ways, at their best when fed and rested, enjoy birds and "power naps" and apparently both like to be read to. Visiting Chester, was the first time Peyton was willing and able to pet the kitty. This was also the first time Chester was willing and able to sniff and tolerate the baby. That out of their system, they both spent the rest of the visit at opposite ends of the house.
