Peyton's 4th Birthday

Somehow, in the span of about 24 hours, our home was labeled a "hard hat area" and not because of the usual post-vacation dangers and hazards that are often left lying around.  No, with much imagination, some luck and a lot of help, I managed to transform our house into a construction zone complete with balloons, presents and cake that would fulfill Peyton's wish for a construction birthday this year.  By the evening of September 6th, Peyton was more than ready to celebrate his 4th birthday!

One of many construction and warning signs decorating our home.

The birthday boy more than ready to celebrate his 4th birthday after a long day of waiting for Daddy to get home from work so the party could start.

Peyton with his new recruits in the hard hat area.

No rest for the weary.  Even Allie was put to work at the end of this busy day.
Our center piece and serving dishes.  A last minute detail that I thought was quite clever.

The Birthday Boy in the "Work Zone" ready for the tough job of the night...cake!

Per his request, an ice-cream construction cake (same as last year).

These 3 cuties were ready to "break ground" at the site.
Enough with the pictures.  Let's "dig in!"

Crane Truck = Elation!

Pin the wrecking ball on the crane truck.
