Bunny Birthday

Somebunny turned 1 on August 29th!  The day was sandwiched between two busy weekends, out-of-town, without kids.  Not sure how, let alone when, to have the party, I had given myself permission to let the day quietly pass with just a simple celebration among the four of us.  However, with some gentle nudging from Nana and Papa, a small family party was on the books.  Admittedly, my guilt had been weighing me down, so it didn't take much for me to step right into party planning mode and Peyton, my little helper, quickly jumped to action making decorations and the cake.  Steve took a long lunch the day of and with the help of family we enjoyed a party for our funny little bunny on her 1st birthday!

Sticking to tradition, we made Allison carrot cake for her first birthday.  Looks can be deceiving.  While these cupcakes are adorned with fresh produce from Grama and Grampa's vegetable garden, this was not the sugar-free carrot cake recipe some might remember from 4 years ago.  Couldn't seem to locate that recipe...
Cake Time - These were delicious!

Happy 1st Birthday, Allison!
We love you!!
