Mt. Rainier Climb

Steve had the opportunity to climb Mt. Rainier again this summer and to experience the mountain in all of its glory.  Severe weather turned him away some 10+ years ago, short of his goal to summit.  With weather in their favor, Steve and his buddies, accompanied by a few other brave souls, and guided by experienced guides, started their ascent at 11:00pm on Saturday, August 22nd.  Close to 8 hours later, they made it to the summit, in time to see the sunrise.  Another 12 or so hours later, they made it all the way back down to the Paradise parking lot.  It was challenging and exhausting, but in the words of my husband, "It was epic."
