Kindergarten Wrap-up

June 8th - The Final Friday Sing:

The kindergarten classes performed their graduation song for the school at the final Friday Sing of the year.  It also happened to be the day that the graduation high school seniors return to their local elementary schools to do a graduation walk.  They all stayed for the assembly, so it was a larger than usual crowd.  Allison and her classmates were a buzz of nervous and excited energy, but they stood tall, sang loud and danced proudly.  It was fun to watch!
June 18th - Popsicles & Parents:
Allison was so excited to sing all the educational and silly songs that her class had been practicing to perform for  Popsicles & Parents day.  Everyone enjoyed looking at the class memory book and slurping the promised popsicles after the performance.  Since it was such a hot day, they melted quickly, but we slurped just as fast, and it was refreshing treat after a special day.

June 19th - Field Trip to NW Trek:
Allison and Ella.
Riding a school bus and going on a big kid field trip were 2 of the things Allison had been looking forward to doing in Kindergarten.  It was a long wait, but on the last full day of school for the year, she got to do both things on her Kindergarten bucket list!  We had a great time with teachers, friends and classmates.  Despite the heat, and intense sun, we saw a surprising amount of wildlife, which was an added bonus.  Although, the kids all seemed to find that the new playground alone made the long trip from school worth while.
