Tree Hunters

We had to forgo what would have been our 3rd annual "dash to the farmer's market just days before the big holiday, due to a last minute decision, in inclement weather, Christmas Tree outing." Why? Well, because the weather wasn't so bad after all and the market wasn't open Friday, the day we decided to get a tree.

This year we bundled up and headed out to Hunter's Farm, just down the road from us. The sky was blue and it turned out to be warm enough to shed a few layers on our short, but great tree hunt.

We didn't venture very far from the barn, very nearly choosing the first tree we saw. Probably should have since ours turned out to be a bit of a Charlie Brown tree. It has lots of character though, and after two days, has finally found a place in our home.

Will this turn out to have been a first of many annual trips to the tree farm in the years to come? Tune in next year to find out. Happy Holidays!
