Down By The Boardwalk

Peyton and I have been enjoying our (almost) weekly walks with Marcella and Megan this spring. After we get a bit of exercise and girl-talk, the kiddos get some play time. Our walk takes us past the playground down by the boardwalk and if you've ever tried to pass a playground with a toddler, and NOT stop, it's torture, for everyone! So, we stop.

I first met Marcella in prenatal yoga and have enjoyed her companionship, throughout our journey as new mothers, ever since. Peyton and Megan are only a few weeks apart in age and are adorable together. Peyton loves Megan (Me-me, he calls her) and talks about her frequently.

The weather was especially lovely this morning on our walk and Peyton and Megan were exceptionally cute today. So, I tried to snap a few pictures with my iPhone (never as good at capturing the kids in motion as my regular camera). Here are a few pictures from our morning.

Then, after spinning Megan very carefully, for some time,
Peyton declared, "Me-me all done!" and tried to throw her off the toy.
Graciously, she still took time to spin Peyton.

Then, since we conveniently meet near a coffee shop, our outings predictably end with a yummy latte for the road!
