For instance, the saying of the day last Sunday was, "good idea." He used this like a broken record for the ENTIRE day! But, now he's mastered it and proudly tells me on a daily basis. Examples: "Duh and Goo, good idea!" (Translation: Duck and Goose - his favorite story) Or, my personal favorite, "Go ou-side, good idea!" Just melts my heart to hear him speak.
Another heart melting moment was two nights ago. As Steve and I were tucking Peyton into bed for the night and quietly whispering our good nights and I love you's from the door, Peyton lifted his sleepy head to watch us go. Then, while waving good-bye to us, he quietly repeated, "Good nigh, I love you." Now, who doesn't want to hear those words at the end of a very busy day? It was all we could do to hold it together until the door was closed and before we both just melted into two puddles of proud parent, right there in the hallway!
