Last night we enjoyed our first family movie night. We cuddled up on the couch in our cozy pj's and munched on popcorn. I was certain that Peyton had tried popcorn, but when we were talking about the event earlier in the day, he kept asking about popcorn, like it was something new, so maybe not. Popcorn turned out to be a big hit. So did the movie (I was a bit nervous since I had not previewed it before hand and Peyton has taken on some pretty serious fears lately). The Little Engine That Could (2011 film) did have a scary villain, but I think we managed to talk away any lingering fear. In the end we all headed to bed with big smiles, full bellies and happy hearts. It was indeed a fun family affair.
