In all my life, I don't remember fall in quite this way. Words can't really even describe it. It's like the best imaginable fall day (mine anyway): waking up to cool and crisp mornings, an occasional marine layer that is quickly peeled away to unveil the most perfect combination of warmth, sun, a few passing clouds and a comfortable, calm breeze that accompanies us into the evening. Yes, the sun is setting earlier in the evening, but the warmth of the day just hangs around, lingering. We've enjoyed dinners on the deck and after dinner playtime in the yard. This "best imaginable fall day" has tucked us in at night and welcomed us again and again and again, day after day, week after week. We've been blessed with what I can only think about as fall perfection.
Enjoying the last of the sunlight and a tasty s'more just days before the official start of fall.
Just a few days ago, in OCTOBER, Allie took a swim in her outside swimming pool!
